what exactly is instagram for the iPhone?
i just got an iPhone but i don't exactly understand what instagram is needed for or how i use it?

it lets you edit photos on your iphone and then upload them to places like facebook

Instagram is basically a photography app that allows you to take pics with the iPhone camera, add effects, titles, locations, etc, and then upload it to Instragram's site and also to Facebook or other social sites pretty much seamlessly.

You can set it up so it does it as soon as you take the picture, so you don't have to worry about uploading and posting it.

It's a great app, but I don't use it much.
