What should I do??????

Ok so in Geography at school I dunno whre to sit.
I used to sit with (lets call them) friends 1 including 3 people-one of whom used to be quite a close friend, one who WAS a new friend but now we have kinda separated and one who, no offence, is a COMPLETE b***h and is pretty much annoying.
So me and the close friend had an argument and so I decided to move seats to sit next to (lets call them) friend group 2.
I like all of these but I only know them through other friends and we are not very close. I don't talk to them outside of Geography (and if so Very rarely)We are just friends not like best friends or anything.

So I moved seats because of this argument (in short I know I was wrong but I commented about someone in friend 1 in our friend group on facebook once she removed herself and someone in that group showed her a screenshot of it and the girl in friend one posted on facebook about what a backstabber I was-I agree I was wrong so I apologised.)

So I would like to sit next to friend 1 because she is my closer friend and we have kinda made up now coz she asked me when I'd sit next to her again so I said maybe....but she is lovely and I would sit next to her but I don't do my best work-well I still get the same grades just....if the teacher asks me in class I haven't really been listening too well and I sometimes don't know the answer which...not to sound bg headed but I'm quite good at geography and get A's and A*'s and so if I don't know the answer a lot its kinda a big deal...I'm sort of a nerd hahah. Anyways Miss gives me sort of dirty looks and she looks as if shes thinking to herself why do you sit next to her, all she does is mess around and you can do loads better-because she quites likes me as a pupil.

The other friends (friend 2) are lovely, but if we have to work in pairs or threes I feel really bad because they cant go together and one of them have to go with me. I do a bit better work (In coursework not actual tests-I still do well in those) and I think miss approves more of me sat here.

So I was just going to stay sitting next to friends 2 until I realised that they would be off for work experience for 2 WEEKS which means 6 hours sitting alone at the front of class which I'm not going to do. I know it sounds like I'm stupid and B****y but I just don't know which one to choose to sit next to. If I sit next to friend 1 then I will probably have to permanently sit there but I'm NOT sitting alone in front of class.
Would it look weird to just kinda go back to friend 1 and then after 2 weeks back to friend 2 again. Sounds B****y doesn't it ahhahaha?

So what would you do?
Go back to friends 1 even though you don't do the best work when speaking up in class and she has been one of my best friends for 3 years and even though miss gives us dirty looks when we mess around.
Or stay with friends 2 and look like a loner for 2 weeks, do my better work, have to work alone when we do group work and have my friend in friend 1 upset because I wont sit next to her.
