Does blocking your ex on facebook help the healing process of moving on?
I was thinking about blocking this guy I dated for a few months. I already deleted him on my page and other contact infos. The story is this guy said he loved me and seemed like he wanted to be part of my life. He seemed so sweet and a good guy then suddenly he disappeared last month without warning and never returned my calls. A couple days ago I found out he found a new girlfriend. I am just so hurt and depressed and I just want to move on with my life. I know it's silly getting upset over some guy dated for a couple months but I can't how you feel especially if you had feelings for this person.

Yes it does! Whether anyone likes to admit it or not, we have all "Facebook Stalked" our exes. It's really easy to type their name into the search bar, click on their picture and then see what they've been up to. It's a painful process to put yourself through though... It's scary sometimes, you want to see what they've posted but at the same time you don't want to see if they've been liking other girl's pictures or if they already have a new girlfriend and post about her, that hurts...
It also does nothing to help you.
Blocking your ex on Facebook is smart and the best thing you can do for yourself. I've blocked several exes on Facebook and I'm glad I did that. It made moving on so much easier.

Best of luck to you <3
