Why do people denounce one thing whilst uplifting another?

You see it with internet poster on social media sites demonizing sex in favor of intelligence, love and sex, "Real" music vs current day music, "real women" vs skinny models, etc.

I don't think its a denouncement, They simply have an agenda and they stick with that. They have a tendency to pit one against the other when the situation arises. But on the sly they think being better and having someone to degrade is the America way. It has been to be fair. And its a shame, But it is what it is. I hope I answered it somewhat. Its kinda complex ed. Not sure how things are where you live.
