How to use website conversion ads on facebook?

I understand the concept. However, I'm not sure where the conversion tracking pixel should be placed. I have a membership website. There are 5 different (1 month, 3 month etc) paid memberships. Do I need to have the developer put it on all 5 payment confirmation pages? (maybe there is just 1 confirmation page...i dunno i'm not a developer).

I just am not seeing how I would know what conversion has been made? A $15 subscription vs. $300 subscription is of course different...i want to know if the money i'm spending on ads is worth it.

Anyone care to educate this cave dweller?
