Creating a fake Facebook account for revenge isn't illegal, is it?

I know that it goes against Facebook's policies, but could a create a fake facebook account under an ex-b*tch-fake-friend's name and use it to embarrass her a little. Nothing major or worth calling me a cyber bully over, but just some things for revenge for what she has done to me, but that's a whole other story.
No seriously, I was just going to tell her crush the she is "in love with him" and in an embarrassing way...

Potentially. This is cruel and you never, ever know what the repercussions are. Revenge is a waste of time and people are loosing patience with this type of bullying. And yes, it is cyber bullying if you do this. Revenge is never "a little".

Making up a completely fake name is one thing, and in most states probably isn't illegal unless you're using it to fraudulently conduct business of some kind. However, impersonating a specific person is different, and is illegal in most jurisdictions, even if they can't prove that you intended to harass them or cause harm.

Okay, you're getting some mixed answers, some partial answers, and all around crappy information from everyone, allow me to step in and change this! Fist thing is first, it IS against Face Book Terms and Conditions, so the account can face deletion at ANY time, they can ALSO block you by IP and MAC address which will prevent your computer from EVER logging onto FB again! Yes it is childish as all hell, and shows you have the maturity of a 3rd grader...good job! Yes it can be considered cyberbullying, and finally if so much as ONE defamatory word gets out and originated from that account, so long as she can prove it was you (not very difficult to do) you can be sued for Libel... since we can tell you're a bit slow....Libel means someone can sue the ever living crap out of you for spreading rumors, lies, and anything negative about them through writing. Go ahead, make that account, but I hope your prepared for the consequences of your childish actions....how about you forget the entire thing, remember your age for a second, and go do something productive with yourself rather than acting like 3rd grader who wants the other kid's lollipop? Seriously, how would you feel if I hacked your account, or made a fake one, and went off telling lies to YOUR friends....see how retarded and childish it simply sounds?
