How to disable notifications for others...?

On facebook, I was told that people who 'star' you can see when you do things like comment on other people's posts. I've been told that's turn-off-able. I sometimes get stalked, and id love if i could fix that, please. I don't care too much about what people see on my timeline (i review those), i mean like, when i comment on someone else's status.
