Twitter question?!?!?

Why can't people retweet my tweets on twitter? They can favorite them, but not retweet them. I used to have it set to private, but no I hav eunchecked that box, and saved the changes (the box isn't checked when I go to account settings), but it still doesn't let people retweet me. Why?

maybe you unchecked the wrong box. make sure it's the one that says "Protect my Tweets"
