help with smartphone without data plan?

hey I just got an Lg phoenix from rogers and we didn't get a data plan. So I was wondering, in a wifi hotspot can I still use facebook/youtube/android market/twitter without being charged. I know I won't be roaming or using mail or using browser, but I know I can use facebook and twitter free of charge in a wifi area, can I do the same with youtube or adroid market or even GPS?? what can I use without data plan?

Hey Tyler, In fact Wifi is quite free for all phones as long as your phone support wifi service & there's an available wireless network in your area.Wifi allows you to access everything on the internet such as browsing, chatting, streaming videos, downloading and Maps/GPS except BBM for blackberry users.Anyway,I think that your carrier will ask you to get a data plan because a data plan is required with all smartphones :-) Good Luck!
