Will liberalism prove this to be prophetic?
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing"

Meanwhile....

You seem to ignore the damage done by the republicans! Republicans who are more concerned with protecting the privileged few and their wealth then the general welfare of the average citizens!

All I ever hear from the republicans are what they are against. Which means they are against anything the democrats want to do to get our economy going!

Nope. If that were the case, then any democracy would fail not long after the second election.

Give them awhile. Libs are like termites.. Eating the foundation of America from the inside out. Conservatives worry about the futurre of this great country.. Libs worry about what people are going to think if they take part A and shove it in a manhole.

This is where we pretend that conservatives don't run up the national debt when they get into office.

The saying you are quoting was synthesized in the 1970's. See

Well, sure, but the whole narrative of the right that this is due to social programs going out of whack is simply not true. Your right-wing media is feeding us this austerity nonsense and meanwhile, it's corporate lobbyists that are basically bankrupting the public system with their ever-increasing demands.

The big jump in Obama debt has little to do with Obamacare and other entitlement programs. It has a lot more to do with financial institutions insisting they had to be "saved".

Yes, the system is being bled dry. But you're blaming the wrong people.

I'll give you a broad hint: People who run around in limousines take in more money than so-called 'welfare queens'. (Not that this ever characterized anything but a few anecdotes.).
