The Brony community seems to be most active on social media sites Facebook (which has groups for bronies) and Tumblr where there are a lot of artists. There are also sites like Equestria Daily which keep people updated on MLP news, and weekly episode streams where you can talk with people as the new episodes air (check Equestria Daily for a list, the new episode airs in around 9 nine hours if my memory is correct).

I don't know if Nightmare Nights will be held this year, but it was an MLP con held in Texas. Brony-Fest is definitely happening in Dallas next month though. http://brony-fest.yolasite.com/

I've never been to an MLP convention but I was at Otakon's MLP meetup literally the week after Bronycon was there (they were held in the same exact convention center) so there were a lot of MLP fans. It was just a normal meetup as far as photoshoots go.

Hey welcome to the community! Whats your best pony? Wink
If you want to get more involved in the fandom, there are a couple websites I can mention.
There's Canterlot.com (this is mostly an rp site, but you can talk and share about the show and get to know fellow bronies) and Brony Meetup.com. This is a vital site to know who's in your area and get together for random little events. Ive never been to Bronycon, (but I making it a mission to go one of these days!) but if you're familiar with anime conventions there are usually plenty of bronies in cosplay to hang with.
My Little Brony (part of geek.cheeseburger.com) is a place to go for pony related memes and images. Go here if you're in the mood for a good laugh. Tumblr is a great place since there's just SO MANY pony tumblrs to keep up with. (Mind you, there are NSFW ones!) Of course, youtube is a great spot for pony music vids, hilarious animations (might I suggest 2 best sisters if you're old enough) and thoughtful discussion videos on the show. I think I pretty much hit the tip of the iceberg, but just go explore!

Welcome to the herd! Here's some of the biggest and most popular brony sites out there:

Equestria Daily– pretty much THE brony site that shares pony news and the crème de la crème of pony works.

Fimfiction– your go-to site for pony fics (I recommend Background Pony by shortskirtsandexplosions. Trust me, just give the first chapter a try!)

Everfree Network– started as just Everfree Radio, has branched out, but is still mainly radio focused. Plays brony music as well as has certain talkshows (e.g. Stay Brony, My Friends) cover a lot of live streams from cons, and does a lot of interviews with show staff

r/mylittlepony– your go-to subreddits for pony news/memes/factoids/art/etc. if you like the Reddit style. Great community.

My Little Brony– just as their subtitle says, "Brony Memes & Pony LOLs".

/mlp/– warning: 4chan, AKA the nitty gritty underbelly of the fandom, but not all bad. They're usually outspoken and miss the old days of the fandom back when it was mostly based in /co/ and /b/, not for your typical brony.

Ponychan/mlpchan– two sites that are pony specific versions of 4chan. Not as bad since it is divvied up into different subsets for different pony needs.

Bronysquare– not to be confused with its roleplaying sister site Ponysquare, Bronysquare is literally a brony-specific Facebook.

Other than that, you can find a lot of bronies on both DeviantArt for art and YouTube for most everything else creative. I'm not sure if it's going to be again, but I'm pretty sure Fiesta Equestria was a rather successful con in Texas last summer. Maybe something to look into.

IMO, if you really want to get to know other bronies, I recommend finding one community, whether it be a small niche one like the dozen or so regular bronies here on Yahoo Answer, a section of a bigger one like an art group on DeviantArt, or a bigger one like the comment section on Equestria Daily, and just become a regular. If you're good at something, or if you want to become good at something, then make it happen. The more you get to know people and the more active in whatever part of the fandom you choose, the more you'll get to know the people around you and make actual friends!

Again, good luck, have a nice day, and http://mlpforums.com/uploads/post_images...LCOME4.gif /) Smile
