That could get you quite a decent computer.
I'm getting a GTX 760 and FX-8320 for under that, so you should be able to get a GTX 770 or 780 and depends whether you want to go with an AMD or Intel rig. Ads |

Hi,
You could get some great components with that budget. Here are some components I recommend, all you need to do is type or copy/paste the quickfind code numbers on EBUYER.COM ![]() Processor 467647 £175.00 Motherboard 507048 £90.59 RAM 342352 £60.86 Graphics Card 58027 £249.99 PSU 584214 £60.99 Hard Drive 193712 £65.00 DVD Drive 506016 £11.98 Case 276069 £86.98 Operating system £72.59 £873.98 (price correct as of 29.12.2013) The processor right now is the best bang for buck for the high end PC gamer, as is the graphics card. There's plenty of RAM, good quality power supply, a case which is great to build in and customize and an operating system which won't drive you nuts if you don't have a touchscreen! ![]() Happy building/gaming! |

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
$220 USD Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked w/ACX Cooler 3072MB GDDR5 $530 USD Motherboard: SABERTOOTH Z87 LGA 1150 $250 USD Case: NZXT ca-ph410-g1 Phantom 410 Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Case Gunmetal with Black Trim $90 USD HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 7200RPM SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Desktop Hard Drive, Retail Kit (STBD2000101) $110 USD RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (comes as 4 GB modules) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) (comes in other colors) $90 USD Optical Drive: LG Internal 24x Super Multi with M-Disc DVD Writer $40 USD or LG Storage BH16NS40 BDRW-XL 16X SATA with Software CyberLink Black $120 USD Power Supply: SeaSonic 650-Watt ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply SSR-650RM $105 USD This would bring the total cost to $1.435 USD using the DVD/CD drive, or $1,515 USD to use the Blu-ray/DVD/CD drive. Which would be $871.86 pounds and $920.47 pounds respectively. I have another build similar to this but not enough hit character limit for response.
