Girl is threatening me on facebook, what should I do?
Long story short, I said a comment about this girl's mother (being overweight), so she got very upset, and took to Facebook saying how she is going to in some way harm me (she said that "he'll be sorry" and "she'll call [her friends] if I try to run" when we return to school on Monday. This is at a junior college, for reference (yes I know, immature right?). Should I like, say something to someone? I really hate to make a big deal out of something so stupid, but a threat is a threat. I tried to apologize but she told me to F!@# off. I don't want to get her in trouble but I don't know what to do either.
*EDIT* This girl doesn't have any dirt on me or anything, I've only known her for a week or so.

Depends on who the girl is. Do you know her? If I were you I would just ignore it and keep the comment of the threat as evidence in case anything does happen. Far too many people are getting locked up for internet comments which makes it a breeding ground for those who wish to kill free speech. Please don't add to the problem.

You made a mistake and she should only demand an apology, and if she does not accept it, then its up to her not you. but to threaten someone has Nothing to do with free speech, a threat is a threat and it is wrong, keep her threat and your apology handy just incase, but I don't think anything will come of it. We All Make Mistakes during our life time.

How about this for advice: if you're going to turn into a quivering sissy at the threat of violence STOP TALKING SHT ABOUT PEOPLE. It may not be on time every time but eventually you will be threatened and eventually you will get busted in the mouth.
