Should i join Facebook again?

I am currently over 6 weeks into school holidays and i haven't spoken, seen or heard from my so called "friend" in that whole time, i have a few other people i guess i can call "friends" but i don't have any of there numbers.
I used to have Facebook but i got rid of it due to parents being too pedantic with what i do on it, and also just due to the fact seen everyone i know have fun and going places while i'm laying in bed lurking at peoples post doing nothing, it was somewhat depressing.
Anyways i was thinking on maybe giving it another go, so i can maybe i can talk to some people i'm thinking being good friends with and other things.
But i also go back to school in less than 2 weeks so i really don't know what to do, whether i should talk before school starts or try and have a fresh beginning when school starts?

Why not? You've got nothing to lose, also if you don't use it often, you don't have to deactivate your account, but just got on it whenever and how often you want
