Apps are associated with smart phones and tablets.

You may have better luck with an answer from a different venue.

Photography is all about using cameras with either zoom lenses (P&S) or fully adjustable cameras like dSLR, SLT and EVIL cameras where the user has more control of the images they produce and are post processed using software like Photoshop, Lightroom, GIMP and others which allow complete control do the output of those images.

An app is more of a cookie cutter script that does one specific thing to an image that does not require the user to have any knowledge of retouching.
