Yes religious people! Check Jahi's facebook support page, and also the donation page and you will see.

I feel so sorry for the family, but also at the gullible, and delusional religious people who believe their prayers are actually working. I am sorry to say this, but the poor kid died weeks ago, and medical evidence has proved this teen has in fact deceased. Medical evidence shows their is no brain activity, and that inside her bowels have started to decompose, and the lining of her bowels began slogging off weeks ago and are now passing through the body. Why are they helping prolong this suffering for the family by giving them money and telling them "god" will save her? I think sometimes you have to be completely honest with people, even if the news is bad.

The medical bills don't die with the patient.

I can't answer this question, because I am not them. I don't know what other's think. But I do know that Jehovah will show love to her in the future by giving her a resurrection on the earth when it has been restored to its original Paradisaic beauty and peace. I'm sure she'll be very happy and surprised.

Because religious people often act irrationally.

I feel bad for the family, who is in denial. What an awful thing to happen to anyone's child.

But speaking as a Christian, a transplant recipient, and a trained volunteer for organ donation, the poor child was brain dead, which is dead, according to all the training I've received. People who are brain dead and are on a ventilator do not look dead. They look like they are asleep and that they may wake up at any minute.

Sometimes God saves people by taking them out of suffering. This child could have been an organ donor, saving others' lives and sparing other families from watching a family member die. It is too late now to use Jahi's organs. But obviously it is not up to me to make those decisions for any family. It seems though like that may have been the best way to honor Jahi and keep her memory alive. What else of any good could have come out of that situation?

It looks like the last post on the gofundme page was 17 days ago. I wonder what's really going on.

You can feel sorry all you want but you have no control over the situation, it's the family's decision now. Everything we know is "hearsay" anyway.

I don't think it's necessarily a religious thing, I think it's more that they don't trust the hospital or their diagnosis.

If you don't want to support them, then don't. Simple.
