friend buzz on facebook--what is it?
ok well i was tagged in a picture for friend buzz and apparently it was for top 20 fan and i was 19. i had 12 points. first off, it was for a person i hardly ever talk, if not never. second, last time i visited their profile or anything remotely close was looking at a few pictures from a university basketball game that she posted and appeared in my news feed at least a month ago. seriously i never talk to this person and never look at her profile, how did i end up being #19 and with "12 points" (what's with the points)??? now i feel like a major creep since i never talk to this person and i never visit their facebook.

Well, it basically uses an algorithm (computer code of problem solutions) that finds out where your similarities are on Facebook with other people.

If you have the most recent update to Facebook profiles and look at one of your friends, you'll see in the upper right a link that says; "You and Friend X". When you click "See all Relationship", it'll show you your similarities and interactions. Such as; photos tagged together, wall posts, likes, similar interests, location, so on.

I don't know how the points system works and all of that was an educated guess. I don't use apps like these because they're not secure. You grant them access to your info and what happens when they get hacked? You get hacked. And all your info gets sold to marketers on the black market which = SPAM. Worse yet, you get added to a botnet... STAY AWAY!
