Facebook Friend Question?

I have the new Facebook Timeline Profile. There is a little box that shows about 6 friends, and it changes every time you go to your profile/refresh the page. However, there aren't just any friends being displayed; it's about the same 15 people (maybe more or less, I'm poor at estimating). They're all close friends or family, plus the guy I like- in other words, people whom I follow a lot, or they follow me a lot. My question is, which is right? The friends that show up are people whom I'm doing a great deal of following, or people who are doing a great deal of following me? Both? Neither (no way it can't be neither, I don't think, but I could be wrong..)Thanks!

Its usually random, but if you interact with certain people on facebook alot they'll most likley show up over other friends.
