I keep getting direct messages and notifications from someone else when they already have logged off my phone?

My friend logged into twitter a couple of months ago and logged back off a couple days later. Ever since then I have been getting all of his direct messages and notifications that he recorded, but I can't click on them or view them and his profile isn't on there. I have tried multiple times to log myself out and delete the app but nothing is working, and he can't log out of his. Help???

Try restarting your phone. You might have to do a hard reset.
