facebook group good or bad idea?

would a group on facebook with the name along the lines of 'society only teaches people to not get raped but not teach people to not rape' sound fine? I plan to add more than that to the actual page obviously
would I use the internet for awareness?

We all know that rape is an appaling crime and a very sensitive subject in society. I am sure (at least I certainly hope) that Facebook users understand just how aweful such a crime is, certainly amongst the worst.

On this basis, I am sure that people would not post any comments that could be considered disrespectful. If they do, then shut the group down.

However, to answer your question, it seems odd. People shouldn't need to be taught not to rape? It's not normal for humans to do such things however, if you mean that people should be punished for rape, and shown that they will not get away with it, then that's fine. However, you cannot teach society to not rape. These rapists certainly know right from wrong, they just go ahead anyway.

Unless the matter is personal to you and you feel very strongly about the subject, it's not a good idea. But if you feel this would benefit others and raise awareness, then you are fully entitled to go ahead.
