Facebook Response

The Ontario government prohibited the use of Facebook from some of its computers. Facebook is one of the many sites that the School Board no longer wants students to log onto. I believe in banning social networking sites in a study environment. I agree with the ban, since it is at schools, Facebook is not an appropriate place to be at. Students are supposed to be doing school work, not wasting excessive time talking with their friends; moreover, the computers are to be used for work purposes. More importantly, in view of the fact that Facebook is not related to students work, it is not acceptable in the study environment place.
I predict that the company might loose some money since many registered users are not able to log in onto Facebook anymore, such as students at schools and many Ontario government employees as well as Liberal aides, MPPs, and cabinet ministers. If one Facebook user walks to school one day, they will probably tell their friends about the use of Facebook. For this reason, that Facebook member will spread out about the use of Facebook use and furthermore, other students will want to be a member as well. This way, the company will achieve more money throughout each day. More than 2 million Facebook users exist in Canada, making it the fastest grow market for the website, increasing at a rate of 5 per cent a week. This popular website has been outrageous for many Facebook users in Canada.
Additionally, I think the Ontario Government did the right thing. Students have plenty of time in the weekend and after school to go to Facebook.

The Ontario government prohibited the use of Facebook from a number of its computers. Facebook is one of the many sites that the school board no longer wants students to be able to have access to. I believe in banning social networking sites in a study environment. Since the ban pertains to schools, I believe Facebook is not an appropriate website to be accessed dring school hours. Students should be concentrating on school work, not wasting excessive amounts of time talking with their friends and so on. Therefore, I feel that if websites, such as Facebook, are not related to a student's work, it is not acceptable in the study environment.

(NOT SURE IF THIS RELATES)
Due to the Facebook ban and the loss of many users such as such as students at school and many Ontario government employees, as well as Liberal aides, MPPs, and cabinet ministers, I predict that the company may loose a generous amount of its profits. This is based on the notion of "spreading the word". Once an individual speaks to another about Facebook, a chain reaction occurs. One friend tells their friend, that friend tells another, and so on. When this occurs, there is a surge in Facebook users everyday. More users generally provides more profits for the company. Currently there are more than 2 million Facebook users in Canada only, making it the fastest grow market for the website, increasing at a rate of five percent a week.

(CONCLUSION)
I believe the Ontario government made the right decision in terms of banning Facebook from schools. Students must realize there is a difference between study time and play time.
