Facebook friends - confused! Help!?

Ok, so I added someone on facebook about a month ago but its still saying "Awaiting friend confirmation" what does this mean? The person is using their facebook. Also, On my homepage its telling me about a group they had joined but when I look, It still says "Awaiting friend confirmation". Can anyone help me?

"Awaiting friend confirmation" means that you have to wait for someone to accept your friend request.

If someone added you in his/her friend list, and "Awaiting friend confirmation" still appears on the screen, then you should contact Facebook or wait for the problem to be fixed.

It means they are avoiding confronting you by endlessly stalling. I have about 10 requests that I'm not touching.

it means they haven't accepted your friend request.

also, if they are facebook friends with people you are facebook friends with, sometimes groups they have joined that your facebook friends have also joined with show up in your feed.
