On Facebook, how do i hide my recent activity?

I don't have the timeline, but recently i was on an account that wasn't friends with me, and when i searched myself, you couldn't see any posts by me or friends, but it had recent activity like who i became friends with, my profile picture changes etc.

I can't find anywhere on the Facebook privacy settings to hide this?
Have a mac if this makes any difference.

To get to your privacy settings, click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page, and choose Privacy Settings. This page contains a group of general controls for your Facebook account, such as who can send you friend requests and messages. For everything else that you share on Facebook, you can choose your audience right when you post.
