facebook privacy settings?

the new setting is pissing me off. i want the old privacy back. like the one who can't add me as a friend. do you happen to know how to do that setting again? i've seen a profile, he's not my friend but we have like 5 mutual friends. but the add as a friend button on his page is not available. i want to have that kind of setting. can't even message the person because i believe he disabled it. please help me. thanks.

I know what you mean. The new Facebook privacy settings are absolute crap. Your best bet would be to go to Account Settings ---> Privacy Settings ---> Search. Then you can choose 'No one' if you don't want anyone to find you in a search. Sorry, that's all I have, sadly.
