Why do people on commercials say Example:Hash tag delicious?

Why do some commercials say hash tag before they say a certain word.Am I missing an inside joke or something?

You must be. They say hashtag to mean this symbol "#" Which is regularly used on twitter to explain what theyre feeling or what they are or what theyre doing in very short terms and is even used on FB sometimes. As another example, #Iamsolost #walkingdead #whitegirlprobs #sosad
