Well Paid Career Ideas?
I'll try to keep this short.

I'm interested in fashion, makeup and animals.

I went to Cosmetology to pursue a career as a makeup artist but I didn't do my research thoroughly and found out the hard way that I was going to be licensed for something I had no interest in doing. So I dropped out.

Now I feel very lost, especially with the pressure from others that you "HAVE TO" start college at a young age. Which I know I don't have to, but I currently work at Subway and am already hating living paycheck to paycheck.

Someone gave me an idea to start a business where people can attend makeup classes, so like Cosmetology but strictly makeup. No license but basically for personal reasons, whether it's a hobby you want to be better at, etc. That sounded cool, but a lot of hard work that can end up becoming a flop and makeup is starting to become just a hobby for me.

I was looking into FIDM but had no idea what to do since I can't draw and I hate business type things (it kept telling me to go for marketing/merchandise).

I want a career that's FUN. I want a career that PAYS WELL. I am a pretty materialistic person, please don't bash me on it, it's just the way I want to live. I looked into well paying jobs and found two that interested me: Anesthesiologist and Veterinarian. The first one is iffy since I know nothing about it but saw it pays very well. I've always loved animals so I thought a Veterinarian would be a good career for me.

But off of my interests; makeup, fashion, animals. What careers are there that would suit me and pay very well? And for you Zodiac people, I am a Capricorn.

If you're interested in makeup, have you've looked into FIDM's Beauty Industry Merchandising and Marketing program? You don't have to know how to draw to attend FIDM so don't let that stop you. My friend majored in FIDM's beauty program and now works for Tarte Cosmetics doing marketing and she loves her job! The great news is there's a ton of career options with FIDM's beauty program so I think there's something for everyone. Maybe check out FIDM's Facebook and Twitter pages; it's a great place to connect with other FIDM students and ask any questions you may have about the schools and their programs. The advisors are very helpful too. Good luck!
