Solution to Yugoslavia War?
I was having a hard time answering this problem and I want to ask what would be your solution. (I know the war already ended.)

"Yugoslavia War- What would be a solution to the conflict that both sides would agree (between Bosnia+Serbia+Kosovo) and explain why."

My solution was that have NATO and other major forces threaten to invade and take over their country unless the sides end their conflicts and make peace which I believe they would take since it better to have some power then none at all.

Bad idea, the countries that make up NATO wanted nothing to do with an invasion and occupation. The former Yugoslavia was a dump and had no economic importance. France and Germany were perfectly content to let them kill each other as long as the conflict stayed contained. The only real solution to the war was to let it be fought to exhaustion which is what finally happened.

I must say that your question is confusing and your perception of what happened in that war seems to be wrong.

There were several major attempts to stop it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_plans...osnian_War

Taking it from the Jose Cutileiros plan, the three sides made an agreement, but after the Bosnian Muslim leader Izetbegovic (a radical Islamist with connections...) had a meeting with USA Ambassador Warren Zimmerman, Izetbegovic withdrew...

So the key question is what did Zimmerman tell him... He offered him a Bosnia under Muslim central political control, after NATO were to invade. Of course the Serbs could not accept being governed by some Muslims... The Turkish times and the Bosnian Muslims bullying their power over the "raja" (infidels), were not in their best memory...

That meant that the Bosnian Muslims were expecting NATO invasion and had no interest in reaching any peace agreement, but to extend the war as long as it took, while the Clinton administration was looking for a way in.

Clinton told Izetbegovic that some incident of at least some 5000 deaths had to happen for the Western media to accept NATO intervention. That is why Srebrenica happened, with Serbs provoked into the trap... It was a well created hoax with the classic media orchestration of the good and bad guy story suited for the goal.

The Bosnian Muslim political elite did not care for the 100,000 death casualty, depleted uranium and economic and social devastation. Just imagine how much money they gained from that war... To them, their own people, some 60,000 killed Muslims, were a justified bate.

NATO had big interest in jumping in and taking their peace of cake before Germany could, their conquest culminating with the stabbing of the flag on Serb sovereign territory.

I could bet that a new war is on the way. Just look at the Bosnian Muslims swinging their frustration in Bosnia...

This link is for milton b, on his statement that Great Britian and Germany did not want to get into ex Yugoslavia. It is a German documentary which was banned in Germany:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_scokGJga...w&index=75

Edit:

"So the Serbs fell into the trap accidentally massacred 8000 civilians? WTF?!"

How can civilians be fully armed running from the demilitarized zone and getting killed in battle as they were trying to retreat to Tuzla? First of all, that number 8000 is not correct. It was taken from a list of killed and missing people, of which a great number was found alive. There is an EXACT number of corpses found so far and there are documents on that, although that forensic evidence was opportunely destroyed in Germany.

Second, if it was a demilitarized zone, how come fully armed troops of Naser Oric were in it and raiding surrounding Serb villages? Why don't you tell us about the 1000 TRUE CIVILIANS killed by the troops of Naser Oric, like for example in Kravica, which caused the surrounding Serbs to enter Srebrenica and take revenge? What were Serb troops supposed to have done, complain it to the UN forces who were turning a blind eye to it?

And since you are that smart, tell us why did Izetbegovic stop civilian refugees from getting out of Srebrenica in buses, since the Serb forces had allowed it?

WFT are you trying to say?

@ae - So the Serbs fell into the trap accidentally massacred 8000 civilians? WTF?!

Lifting up the weapons embargo. There was no way to make peace in 1992 because Serbs got a lions share of the JNA (Yugoslav National Army) weapons and they were convinced that they can win the war even though they were outnumbered 3:1. If Croats and Bosniaks had the opportunity to arm themselves with the same stuff Serbs had, the war would be over in no time.
