Why won't Instagram let me follow anyone?

Hi, I made a new Instagram account and it is called @__pretty___pics__......anyway, I made it to get A LOT of followers by following A LOT of people. I started following the people who were following @instagram, @justinbieber, and other popular accounts and I got up to following like 20 people and then it would not let me follow anybody else. It would let me after about 10 minutes or so. I followed more and more people and it kept not letting me for longer and longer times. When I was getting ready for bed, I had waited about 2 hours......... And it still wouldn't let me follow anyone!!! So I thought will be fine by morning. When I got up I tried to follow people and it wouldn't let me!!!! That was 8 hours!!! Will it ever let me follow someone again?!?! I am getting really annoyed with it and really sad that I can't follow anyone!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!! ASAP!!!!!!! :-(

You abused the rules and have been blocked.
Chances are, some of the people you tried to follow reported that they didn't know you, like this girl you spoke to once:

They do it to protect their users from predators or people who join just "to get A LOT of followers by following A LOT of people".
Wait 24 hours, and if you still can't, leave it alone for awhile and go do something productive with your time.
