to use facebook on iphone 3gs do you have to have the app?

if i want facebook on iphone 3gs, does is come on the phone available to use it. or do i have to get the app for it to be able to use it?

No you can just go on the internet, but there is an app which i find better .

There is app in appStore, also, you are able to access facebook with safari internet browser.

No you can go on facebook by using the safari one and searching through the internet.
Otherwise, you can go to the app store search facebook and download it (which is free btw!)
I find it better as it goes straight to facebook and you can also upload photos from your iphone straight to facebook.

Well Facebook is a website, & the iPhone 3GS has a browser called Safari. You could use that & get to Facebook just fine. Web version or app version, either or is fine, but nothing's wrong with having both.
