Positive:
-you can keep in contact with people
-you can follow your favorite celebrities
-you can promote your business
-it's an easier way of expressing yourself than real life for some
-it's free and easy to use

Negative:
-there is lots of spam and pointless stuff on it
-it's potentially unsafe for you such as viruses
-you can get cyberbullied on it
-you can get addicted and it ruins your life
-a lot of people have fake accounts

Negative things about twitter

1. Some people share almost every aspect of their lives on twitter and that might be dangerous. Tweeting stuff like "Just got the new Iphone" "Just came back from the Caribbean, great holidays" make other people think that you have some wealth. It's even worse when you let your smartphone post your location.
2. You have no privacy if you tweet what you're doing, who you are with and where you are at every moment. This can be a little risky as well.
3. Some people's life is based upon twitter. I've seen people whose lives are based on tweeting absolutely everything they're up to. All the time.
4. Some people share stuff that's just too private so as to gain popularity. I don't think people should tweet when they have sex or when they make out with someone. That's meant to be private!
5. I hate when I'm talking to someone in real life and he's constantly checking twitter's homepage on his phone or ipad.
6. It has become a great source for stalkers!

Positive aspects of Twitter

1. It lets you be in touch with people you havent seen in a while or who live too far away
2. Its fun to read about weird or awkward things that happen to other people.
3. You can always know what your friends are up to and comment on this. Also you can have short conversations.
4. You can express yourself completely free and in a really easy and quick way.
5. You can get short headlines of the current news, weather, traffic information for your town.

good:
1. Twitter is really really funny. I've honestly laughed so hard when I've looked at my timeline

2. Gossip spreads FAST on twitter. The other day there was this guy and girl at a party and they had sex on the stairs!! Their friends outed them on twitter so now everyone knows. As bad as this seems, it makes your timeline interesting loll (as long as u dont have sex on stairs)

3. You find out news really quickly on twitter even if you don't follow any news pages. When nelson mandela died I found out before my mum found out because I was scrolling down my timeline

4. If you're a fangirl or something, you can go on celebrities profiles and find out what theyre doing

5. Celebrities sometimes follow you back. My friend got followed by justin bieber. Ariana grande follows thousands of people too and tries to follow everyone back, so you can even directly message them if you get a follow back

6. You make friends on twitter. There's some really nice people on there who talk to you randomly

7. It's more lively than Facebook. It's less about what you look like and more about what you write why people follow you. And like, you don't have to know someone to follow them, you can just follow anyone if you like what they tweet or you think theyre funny

negative:
1. It's a bit embarrassing when people don't follow you or if you dont have alot of followers

2. I've seen people on twitter start on other people for no reason. Like if someone posts a picture someone else goes "you're so ugly and disgusting" for no reason. (alot of people start abusing that person though nd sticking up for the person that posted the picture)

3. its really easy for people that dont like you or are obsessed with you to know what youre doing

4. even if you block someone, they can still go on your profile and view all of your tweets, they just can't speak to you on twitter

5. I love twitter, but I'm a bit addicted to it. Before I start study leave, I need to deactivate my twitter so i dont check it every five minutes
