in HR the social science is help-full in learning the culture of the people coming for recruiting, and also it is easy to assign their groups with their culture to get higher output from them.

Let's first clarify what social sciences means: In Wikipedia you'll find : ...academic disciplines concerned with the study of the social life of human groups, animals and individuals; This includes anthropology, archeology, philology, communication studies, cultural studies, demography, economics, human geography, history, linguistics, media studies, political science, psychology, social work, and sociology.

So, we are talking about a very large field of sciences. Therefore the role for HRM is difficult to describe. None of these seciences can be defined as THE scientific foundation of HRM. HRM is therefore an eclectic collection of ideas from many sciences. The best HR professionals are those who can combine elements from many sciences (also from exact sciences like physics, statistics, IT-networks...) into an intelligent custom build apporach to managing human resources and making their company the mpst competitive in its industry.
The task of HRM is not to copy what all the rest is laready doing. HRM has to contribute to making your organisation the most competitive in your industry. This requires the finding the best balance between business-goals - market - processes - employees - society.

Social sciences can help in understanding and optimizing all these elements. This means thatb they are not only usefull for HRM! But also for all other disciplines in your company.

Most of all and specifically in HRM I find social sciences helpfull in understanding and optimizing change-management. Change is THE ongoing challenge for all companies and its employees. The more agile your company is, the more competitive it is. To understand this complex concept of change one has to look at it from many many angles. Each of the above listed sciences has something to teach us about change management. It is important to know how to get fast and accurate insights in these inputs from all these sicences. This is an aspect of kowledge management. It shows how knowledge management will more and more in the future make the difference between successful and unsuccessful managers.
This would bring us to another level of discussing your question, which would lead us too far, here.
