How has social media affected domestic infant adoption?
"DCF looks to Twitter to boost adoptions" states this article in FL. http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/05/16/22...z1MXDVwaBY

Several months ago, it came out that Bethany and other agencies are urging PAPs to use social media to find babies and pregnant women to talk into adoption.

Do you have any other examples of the use of social media for this purpose? Have you seen it used on YA? Do you think that industry workers and people who earn their livings from adoption are using social media covertly in an attempt to discredit the voices of mothers and adoptees who speak out for families to stay intact rather than surrender family members to be raised by strangers?

Used wisely it's a great tool for any purpose and is used widely to sell any idea. It's not always a good thing families staying intact----many children are abused and neglected and have parents who don't care for them---those kids thrive in the homes of Strangers.

NO child deserves to be abused and neglected!!!
