The telephone, you can purchase these on nearly any high street and assuming she has one too you can talk to her. If you already both have one perhaps look her up in your local telephone directory book which all good local libraries will stock.

Seeing as you have the internet why not send her an an E-mail as supplied by companies such as 'the google' or 'the yahoo'. If you both get an account you can send each other information, pictures and much more.

Perhaps she has a facebook or twitter account. Create yourself an account too and search for her and here you will be able to talk and poke each other

If these fail to contact laura you may also refer to smoke signals, Carrier Pigeon, or morse code. These are primitive mays of communication however can be easily learnt by searching tutorials using 'the you tube'.
