I am the President of our Universities Marketing Club and are looking to visit Silicon Valley, companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Yahoo. But after those meetings during our free time I was wondering if you knew of any places/restaurants that could be fun to visit while on our trip. We are from WI so everything will be new to us, haha.

Google is in Mt. View. Go to Castro St in Mt. View to eat. Lots of cool restaurants along the street.

Really though, Silicon Valley is kind of a boring place. Better to drive an hour and go to San Francisco or to Santa Cruz.

You'll definitely want to take a couple of days to visit San Francisco for sure, but San Jose has a very nice downtown with lots of clubs and restaurants also for quick meals during the week.

I don't know a lot about restaurants and attractions in San Jose, but if you like Indian food I recommend you go to Tandoori Bites, the Indian restaurant. The restaurant isn't really huge, but they have friendly employees and good food. In downtown there's a couple of museums; Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, Discovery Museum, The Tech Museum, and Japanese American Museum.

You should look up some attractions in San Jose, CA on Google Maps. You don't have to drive to San Francisco. Oh, and if you like theme parks, Great America is right in Santa Clara. Everything in Downtown San Jose is usually within walking distance.
