Why do I get hardly any likes on Facebook?

Ok, so I am considering about giving up Facebook because I don't want it to take over my life. Well, I love photography and am often taking photos, but when I posted some of my photos on Facebook I only got a maximum of 3 or 4 likes. And about half of them I only get one like, and it's from my mother. At one time I used to get loads of likes on my pictures. But for the past year or so I have been very lucky to get more than 4. I am not attention seeking, I just want to know why people on Facebook have become this way. Facebook used to be fun, but I think it's heading towards its use-by date now. BTW, I have 120 friends on Facebook, but I don't expect all of them to like my pics. However, I expect more than a pathetic 4.

I think you want to increase likes on your photos. Just upload it in your timeline & tag all of your friends. I think it'll increase likes from your friends & from friends of friends too

The photos must love beauty. Friends on facebook is your acquaintances. Address on your facebook is nothing to me like your photos

Facebook is good for sharing photos and all, but if you have a great passion for photography, I'd give Instagram a try. Whether its nature, kids, food, whatever! It should get some likes.
If you don't want to try Instagram, maybe find some Facebook pages or groups where you could show your pictures?
