Why can't I get the new Facebook timeline?

I created a new facebook account about two weeks ago and am not offered a "get it now" button on the launch page for the new facebook timeline. I am also not invited at the top of my own profile. what gives? is it my "noob" status?

well if its new , they still have all those 'find friends' and stuff to help you get started. the way to get the timeline is go on someone else's profiel which has the timeline thing and there should be a button at teh top that might say 'get started' or something ,, hope that helps!

Go onto someone's profile who has timeline and there should be a button at the top for you to get it! Hope it works!

Many users reported that they still don't have the green button to upgrade to Timeline. Some of them tried different browsers and computers but the button still wasn't there. As members from the same family using the same computer had different results, this can only mean that the upgrade is not yet available for some users.

A good way to go about it is to try once a day until the button appears.
