every time i try to change my ig password?

every time i try to change my instagram password it keeps on saying "An unknown error occurred"
Even when i try to change my bio this happens. I asked my friend to change her password and the same thing happened and it was not because of our wifi

The same thing is currently happening to me just now, I thought there was something wrong with my wifi too but I think Instagram is just run down at the moment.
People are saying it should be okay in a couple of hours

Best suggestion is wait it out, if in a few days you are still having this issue submit a report to the IG staff.
