Do employers look at what OTHERS post on your facebook page?
we hear it all the time that possible employer look up your facebook page to see what type of person you might be.

BUT do they look and judge you on what others post on your page..? I have a friend that post half naked pic's of girls all the time.. I don't want to block her, she is a close friend..

I just wonder if a future employer might look at that and judge me on it.. AND YES, I know they aren't suppose to and it wouldn't be fair.. but we know how the real works. don't we..

Knowing something about who you associate with is a clue to who you are. I'm sure most would look at what others post on your page, but they are also not likely to be shocked by crude people, because we all know some.

Yes, they look and make judgments. What would you do if you had two similar candidates and one had lewd pictures on her wall and another had pictures of their volunteer work at the children's hospital?

Managers are always looking for the most conservative choice when hiring.

Ask you friend to remove this material and not post any more or you will un-friend her.

Please remove ASAP all inappropriate postings i.e. pictures, remarks etc. and make your Facebook page PRIVATE so it can not be viewed by anyone you have given permission to welcome as a friend.
It has become quite common where prospective and existing employers are viewing Facebook profiles and employees advising management what is on your page. There are many people fired due to Facebook i.e. comments, pictures etc. Best to be safe than sorry. Good Luck!!
