What should I do? Please help I'm scared?
I was put on the antidepressant Zoloft back in August 2013 because of major depression, ocd, ptsd, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and uncontrollable ruminating thoughts, and since being on them things have been going pretty well, with some rough patches here and there. But basically I have run out of pills and I haven't taken any since Monday, so about a week I've gone without having any. And for the past few days (and at this moment right now as i'm typing this) i have been EXTREMELY angry at everything. I literally woke up at 4 in the morning and started ruminating about every thing that was bothering me and started getting extreme anger to the point where I could've punched a wall or even someone else (and I'm not a violent person) and my mind and thoughts literally will not shut off and I'm extremely angry and frustrated and the pharmacy is closed and I can't get another dose until next week because my psychiatrist needs to confirm it. What do I do in the meantime? Sad

Zoloft is a drug that you have to build up to and wean off of. I too have symptoms when I run out or skip a day. The best thing you can do is relax and control yourself until you get your next dose, then try your best to keep it refilled before you run out!

You can use 4 natural and effective methods below to overcome depression:

A. Meditation is one of the most powerful methods to enhance the mood and eliminate depression. The best thing is that its quite easy to learn. All you need is 15 minutes of meditation a day to calm and soothe your mind. This is all thats required to make positive transformations in your life.

B. Herbal Remedies: You will find a wide range of herbal therapies in the market. To get rid of depression, ginkgo biloba and St. Johns wort are super effective for altering your mood. You can make a Google search and see what comes up. One of the reliable sources on the internet is Web MD.

C. Exercise: Many researches and studies on depression have shown that physical and psychological benefits that we get from any form of exercise can help us to get rid of depression and most importantly, it enhances our mood immediately. All that you need is about 30-40 minutes of exercise about 4 days a week to get astonishing results.

D. Reprogramming your mind is also a powerful technique to get rid of negative feelings and depression. You can learn how to reprogram your conscious and subconscious mind by reading some books. You can find the link below to see my favorite one.

It's not good to stop taking a prescription, without the doctors orders, so this is probably a side effect from you suddenly stop taking the medication so suddenly, i would recommend just looking up some side effects of the medication, see if this is one of them, and then look up ways to calm yourself down.

I hope this was helpful. Smile
