Has anyone changed stances on Abortion, either for or against?

Yes. I was against it when i was a good church going boy. I've changed my tune to being more ambivilant about it. Although I still think it is abused. People need to get birth control...not subject their bodies/unborn fetuses/kids to an abortion.

by the way i'm still a republican...i would just rather be a liberitarian, if they had a real party that is...but the republicans are closer to what i think than the dems

EDIT: Also, that late term BS is horrible. If you don't do it in the very very beginning of pregnancy, I think you suck. (Medical emergencies excepted)

I am against in most circumstances purely because in 90% if cases it is used just because people are not careful when having sex and are not willing to take responsibility that comes with sex. The other 10% (rape endangering mothers life) are a complex topic so I am mostly against it.

However that being said it is not me who is doing it and so whether I consider it murder or not to an extent is irrelivent as it is not me doing it; so in that case really I am pro-choice to the extent I don't care what people do themselves but against it as I would never want it to be done to my baby.

NOBODY wants abortion. NOBODY! But if their isn't an option to it, and we completely stop abortion, the coat hangers will come out of the closets and we will really have problems!

first off, there are inconsistancies with that "story". how can a fetus' heart still be beating after dismemberment? surely that is not possible. reading a so-called abortion doctor's lies will not change my pro-choice stance. sorry.

i used to be on the fence about it, until a friend got pregnant in high school. had she not aborted, she wouldn't have gone on to be a great artist. her life would have turned out in a negative way had she kept the pregnancy.

I used to be staunchly anti-abortion. While I am still pro-life in the sense that I value all life, I have dropped my anti-abortion stance. I am pro-choice in that I believe that a woman's right to own her body trumps any rights we wish to grant to the unborn child within her. However, I believe that we should address unwanted pregnancy in personal one-by-one cases. If I knew a woman considering an abortion, I would urge her to allow her child to live. I would quickly learn how much compassion and support that I would need to give in order to help her make a difficult decision.

I have adopted this stance because of a developing political philosophy of liberty. I believe that all people own themselves and that many wrongs in society are acts by some group to claim ownership over others. Abortion is complicated subject since it involves conflicting rights between the mother and the unborn child. My stance on it is an attempt to honor both sets of rights while doing so via voluntary means that, I hope, would be less likely to have unintended consequences.

Always for it. I laugh at some pro-lifers. Imagine yourself or your daughter in the situation... Some how minds change in the right moment...

Yes indeed. After much thoughtful consideration I have come to the conclusion that life begins before conception. Our sperm and egg cells are alive and have human DNA before conception, just as much as after conception. Male masturbation is mass murder.

I've always been pro-choice, but as I've gotten older that is a more thoughtful position.

It's more clear than ever to me that when you say "for abortion" you are off the mark. No one is for abortion. Many people are in favor of women having abortion as an option.
