Deciding between an applied math major or an economics major?
I am torn between majoring in mathematics and economics. I am not sure what kind of career I want after college but I had decided on a career in marketing. This way I could get an opportunity to write since I actually want to be a journalist but am not pursuing that path because of the lack of jobs and pay. Although I'd like to be in marketing, I also want to study mathematics because I might want to be an analyst of some sort. A B.S. in economics can take me into some sort of math with statistics but I fear it might not be as heavy in math.
SO, I fear:
-A B.S. in Economics will take me to marketing but ill never be an analyst if my heart desires
-A B.S. in Math will get me to be an analyst or into computer science but I will never get way from the desk and interact with people or write

I need to decide which because most universities have the majors in separate colleges since economics is a social science and math is a separate entity. HELP! I'm a confused senior in high school.
