im not saying that i agreed with what stacey did, but i was listening to a john somebody from the libertarian group last night on talk sport - mike graham show about this recent twitter case.

and he was saying the fact that something like this could happen, a man thrown in jail for saying what he thought......and also that lass who was slagging off immigrants on the tubeway emma west, she was put in jail and had her kids taken from her?

i didnt know that about her.....he was saying these cases prove that, more or less were living in a police state now............that this is not the free britain of 1965 for example the era he grew up in.

and even though im in my mid 30s nearly, i agree with him.....i truly think were getting close to a police state when you cant say whatever you want.......cant exercise free speech.

whats wrong now? there is something very weird happening now....

i also fear that soon the government will try to regulate the internet and they will use ; internet trolls, twitter cases and terrorism or things to that effect as reasons to why they have to regulate the net.

i can see it a mile off.

does anyone else have similar worries or gravely is worried for the freedoms in this country and the threat of what looms in the future?

I am very concerned about what is happening. This guy was silly to say what he did, but why put him in prison when other people are committing far more serious crimes and don't even get a slap on the wrist. What the pc brigade can't see is that they are making even tolerant people racist with their nonsense. Racism laws are hypocritical as ethnic minorities can say what they like about white people and get away with it, Diane Abbot being a classic example. I think internet censorship is getting out of control. Everybody should have the freedom of expression and this should not just be the domain of the ethnic minorities. Unless people make a stand now against this I dread to think what the future holds.

And people try to defend this stacey fella by claiming that Britain is turning into some sort of police state, get real.

In my travels I've met and got to known quite a few racists some whom could be described as extreme, but never in a million years would they repeat what this Stacey fella Tweeted, never, they had too much self respect to stoop to such a low level.

So in answer to your question, NO Britain is not in any imminent danger of becoming a police state, and you know its not, so don't come that one.
