Is 5 Mbps Internet Speed Enough for me?
I'm currently on an internet with 50mbps, but I'm sharing with about 10 people. I'm wondering if I could switch to a plan that was 5 mbps (and I would be the only one using it) and still be able to function. Here's what I do online:

Check e-mail/social media
Browse/Shop
Stream video (a LOT of video, youtube, netflix, hulu, anime, etc.)
Wii Gaming (and watching netflix on the wii)

That seems like it would require more than 5mbps... but I'm tired of sharing my internet with so many people.

Thanks for any advice!

It's the streaming video which would suffer, you'd be better off with 10Mbps as that's enough to stream HD video with.

Well assuming that you are talking 5mbps of download speed, I would say that 5 is fine, but if you are all watching it at the same time, you might want 10-15 and all you have to do to get that is upgrade your internet bill. For me to upgrade one notch with my internet provider, it's an additional $25.00 added to my monthly bill.
