How do I delete numerous friends off of Facebook all at once?

I have over 3,000 friends on Facebook and I hate it. I would just like to keeps my close friends, family, and the people I need to stay in touch with for clubs and sports. I've been deleting them one by one, but it's taking WAY to long. Is there any way that I can delete a a whole mass of people at the same time?

Do you have too many Facebook friends and want to unfriend some of them? This guide will show you a quick way to do it. (Note: this article has an important tip written in red letters to avoid the refreshing problem.)

Once you have logged in to Facebook, on the top right hand corner of the page, click on your name or small profile picture.




Then, click on the Friends box that is among the boxes that are right under your name and big cover picture..




Once you have done that, hover the pointer of your mouse over the name of any friend you want to remove without clicking on it. In the small window that appears, hover the pointer of your mouse over its “Friends” button, and finally, in the appearing menu, click on the “Unfriend” option.



Facebook will ask you if you to confirm the action in a window with a button that says "Remove from Friends". Important note: Instead of clicking on the "Remove from Friends" button, press the Enter key of your keyboard, and once you have done that, do not click on “Okay” in the next message that appears. If you did those things, the page would refresh and therefore it would take you a long time to remove several friends. Just repeat the above process with the next friend you want to delete and the message will go away.
