Facebook notifications won't go away (Blackberry)?

I have a Blackberry tour, and I've got the Facebook app downloaded. For some reason, it says I have 16 notifications on my homescreen. I can't seem to find these notifications though. I tried deleting all my notifications, and taking the battery out. None of that stuff worked though. Seeing that little symbol on my screen is really bugging me. Help please?? Thankss<3

This happens to me ocassionally with my blackberry curve and the facebook app. Sometimes very old facebook notifications pop up as if they are new. If you scroll through your messages for a very long time you might see some fb notifications that appear to have never been opened, but which are actually old ones.
If you wait about a month they will automatically get deleted, but if it really bothers you maybe try either scrolling through and opening them or deleting the app and redownloading the app.
