Sending Facebook friend requests got blocked?

I recently made a facebook account and I found tons of my old High school friends and people I knew so I started adding many of them. After I had sent several friend requests, Facebook sent me a message saying I had sent to many friend requests so they were blocking my usage of Friend requests and the messaging system. I suppose I could wait the two days but I would really like to start getting in touch with more of my friends... is there any way to get around it or file a complaint or something?

what happened is facebooks computer thought you were a spammer, you have to add friends slowley, but dont worry within a few days it will be unblocked
