Yahoo! Avatars was discontinued on April 1, 2013. Unless you already have one saved to your computer, you cannot make any new ones or edit any current ones. Read more here:

Yahoo no longer provides avatars however you can create one from other free sites see the links below.If you are on wireless you must wait until you are on a computer.

Choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar you had saved to your pc.
