Is Social Work a respected act in society?
In order to remove the Economical imbalance from our society what we as a youngsters can actually do?

yes, but if your heart is in it you will only last 5 years in the profession. but if you want a check you will retire.

Do your research and you will understand why I say that

No not really but it should be. The best advice I can give you from my life lessons are:
1. Work hard but never treat your body as if it doesn't have a shelf life.

2. Try to be the most independent person you can and pass that lesson on to your children.

3. Never I repeat NEVER talk bad about someone who is on assistance because trust me someday in a blink of an eye it could be you.

Also, study hard; do research; and always try to improve the faults that you see your parents generation doing.

It is respected but not necessarily valued (especially in a monetary way). There exists a natural tension between the desire to address the inequities that are inherent in a capitalist system and a desire to allow that system to address them (the market). Social work plays a valuable role in helping to address this tension; but social workers and the social service systems will never receive the funding they merit or deserve. DA
