There isn't any software program but I would have your router checked. Make sure it is working properly. If it is working properly you could look into getting an amplifier on your line from your internet service provider or looking into a wireless access point closer to your living room suggestively through a power line adapter or other networking device.

no software can help you, but a few thing can. moving your wireless access point higher actually makes a difference. i had one on a desk, had ok covergae round the house (1 or 2 bars in most places (out of 5) but when i moved it higher up (~60cm) coverage increased to about 3 or 4 bars. another option is to buy a new modem or router that can give you better coverage. on youtube, NCIX recently did a video on routers and wifi coverage i will link it below

(note, sometimes the ncix crew write pretty bad jokes into the script, but the actual results are genuine)

There is no software, but I'm wondering if you are trying to use 5 ghz instead of 2.4 ghz.

With 5 ghz, it tends to have its signal attenuated easily. 2.4 ghz is a bit more forgiving.

If you are using 5 ghz, try and use 2.4 ghz instead.

If you are not using 5 ghz, try using a different channel. Sometimes setting it to "automatic" doesn't work all that well. If you have an android phone, you can install an app called Wifi Analyzer. It will have a display there of what channels are being used in your area, and you can choose one where there is the least interference. Overlapping channels decrease the signal to noise ratio and make the signal less effective at longer ranges.

After you try all that, try seeing if there is a setting for your channel width. If it is set to 40mhz, change it to 20.

If none of that works, and you're unable to move the router to a better location for signal propagation, you might get a "range extender" from Best Buy, or some place online. Place that somewhere between where you want signal and where your router is, and it will extend your range.

Hope that helps.

Hope that helps.

Getting a wi-fi adapter with a good directional external antenna will help you get the most of the low signal you have.

If your room is very far or heavily shielded from signal, you could either move your router closer, or buy a wi-fi extender device which will take the existing wifi signal and rebroadcast it. You would plug that device into the wall, halfway between the router and your room.

check the clearance of you wifi router. make sure there is nothing blocking the signal that is electronic, especially other computers, refrigerator, washer dryer, etc....anything that has a magnet in it.
