how to stop my facebook from showing up on google?

So in facebook privacy settings i chose that i don't want my facebook to show up in public search engines and it didn't but a couple of days ago i made a comment in some group and since then, my facebook profile pic has been showing up on google images anytime somebody types my name in google. i don't want that to happen. i deleted the comment i made in the group and i even deactivated my account like 5 minutes ago and my info still shows up in google. Is there any way i can stop this ?

There's three problems here:

1) Facebook is terrible at enforcing privacy settings. Even at the maximum settings some of your information can leak out.

2)Google is independant of Facebook. If you ever had other privacy settings that were not too strict, your profile was already "captured" by Google and can remain there for quite some time (infinitely in many cases).

3)The fact that you posted something in a "Group" may be why this happened. You are effectively posting something "publicly" in this case and not privately.

If you are concerned:
- Don't post actual pictures of yourself in Facebook and use an Avatar instead
- Don't post in groups
- radical - Don't use Facebook. Facebook and similar tools are designed to allow social connections; unforunately that often comes at a price. The internet was never designed with privacy in mind which means you have to audit what you put onto it.
